Shabbar Jaffar is Prof of Epidemiology and Director of the UCL Institute for Global Health. He is involved in research, mostly intervention studies and trials, on the prevention and management of HIV, diabetes and hypertension in sub-Saharan Africa. He has lived in West, East, and Southern Africa and now lives in London.
